Meet the team

We are a group of Duke and Columbia University students who founded MedChances after growing frustrated with the uncertainty involved in applying to graduate school. We decided to use our extensive experience in machine learning and statistics to create MedChances with the goal of easing this process for future students.

Ryan Dhindsa Co-Founder

Ryan graduated from Duke University in 2015 and is currently a third year MD/PhD student studying statistical genetics at Columbia University.

Ayal Gussow, PhD Co-Founder

Ayal graduated from Duke's Computational Biology and Bioinformatics PhD program in 2016 and is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow studying evolutionary biology.

Brett Copeland Database Architect

Brett graduated from the University of California, San Diego and is a bioinformatician at Columbia University Medical Center
